We offer one to three weeks of comfortable care and medical attention for senior adults in our elegant facilities.

Questions and Answers

What is RESPITE CARE?  Respite Care provides families with short-term relief from the daily care of their elderly loved one. 

How is this accomplished?  By admission to a Salter HealthCare Nursing Center, your relative will receive nursing care, nutritious meals, assistance with daily living, recreational activities, and companionship.

 What are the rooms like?  Private and semi-private rooms are available complete with Victorian style bedroom furnishings, all linen, daily housekeeping services, and attached bathrooms.

 What will our relative do each day?  Each day offers different recreational activities including entertainers, van trips, socials, bingo, exercise classes, and discussion groups.  Or if one prefers, our library offers a place for quiet reading and our living rooms are used for visiting or viewing TV.

 What about medical care?  The Nursing Center will provide skilled nursing care, medication administration, and treatments.  Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy can also be arranged.

 Who does the program serve?  Caring family members who have primary responsibility for their elderly relatives and are temporarily unable to provide the care.
