Winchester Nursing Center is a 121 bed skilled nursing facility that has been owned and operated by Salter HealthCare since 1976.  Recently renovated, the facility provides quality short and long term care in the most gracious surroundings.  The TCU (Transitional Care Unit) on the lower level has a separate entrance and dining room.

The goal of the TCU is to enable the patient to return to their home as independent as possible.  A suite on the lower level containing a homelike kitchen and bathroom with washer and dryer is a vital part of the therapy process.  A Social Worker helps the resident and family with discharge planning and home care services.

Licensed Physical, Occupational, Speech and Respiratory therapists provide the Rehabilitative Services.  Intensive nursing includes, but is not limited to IV therapy, hospice care, wound and pain management.  Offering residents a wide variety of activities makes a stay at Winchester Nursing Center pleasant and prepares residents for a return to the community.
