When 103-year old Aberjona Rehabilitation & Nursing Center resident, Eva Wagner, was born, Babe Ruth was still wearing a Red Sox uniform. A lifelong Sox fan, Wagner is one of the oldest living female World War II Veterans in Massachusetts, having served as an Army Nurse. After the War, Wagner worked as a Registered Nurse for Somerville Hospital. She was recently invited and was thrilled to announce play ball at Fenway Park surrounded by family, umpires and Red Sox staffers. One of 11 children, Eva shares a room at Aberjona with her 99-year old sister, Clara. She was born in Nova Scotia, came to the United States when she was a year old and spent her entire life in Medford before moving to Aberjona Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in 2015.
