Salter HealthCare Appoints Bob Marino as Chief Technology Officer

Salter HealthCare, one of Massachusetts’s most trusted leaders in rehabilitation and skilled nursing care, today announced they have appointed Bob Marino to the newly created position of Chief Technology Officer, effective immediately. He brings over 20 years of experience to the company, having previously worked for Salter HealthCare as their Director of IT for a decade.

As CTO, Marino will be responsible for setting the company’s technology strategy, scaling IT systems and infrastructure and helping improve patient care by leveraging the latest technologies.

“No one knows our company or our infrastructure better than Bob,” said Bob Driscoll, CEO of Salter HealthCare. “In today’s ever-changing world of healthcare technology we needed someone who can think outside of the box and we believe that Bob is a great choice to help lead our company into the future.”

A Billerica resident, Marino has over 20 years of IT experience, having worked for a variety of enterprises in the Winchester, Wilmington and Woburn areas, including Datawatch and Mascon. As a Network Administrator for Mascon in Woburn, he was responsible for managing their office networks in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. In 2005, he became Director of IT for Salter and later returned to Mascon in 2015. He is certified in Microsoft MCSE, MCP and Novell CNE.

“I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to return to Salter,” said Marino. “I’ve always enjoyed the healthcare environment and the unique challenges that come along with it, and look forward to lending my expertise to the leadership team.”
