Salter Healthcare Celebrates National Volunteer Month

Volunteer Marilyn Regan of Stoneham plays cards with a resident at Woburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

April is National Volunteer Month and Salter HealthCare wishes to extend their gratitude and appreciation to members of the community who support their three facilities in Winchester and Woburn as volunteers.

“National Volunteer Month was established to inspire people to find ways to engage in their communities. It’s a way for ordinary people to have an impact on the lives of others. We are very grateful to the many people who support our residents by volunteering in so many wonderful ways, by playing cards or reading to residents or by providing companionship to those who may not have family nearby. Our volunteers make such a difference. We welcome volunteers year-round but want to extend a special invitation to members of our community during April, which is National Volunteer Month,” noted Deb Donovan, RN, Salter HealthCare Director of Marketing.

Volunteer opportunities are available in the activities department, dining services, hair salon and other areas at Aberjona, Winchester and Woburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Centers. Applicants must be 13 years old or older and may contact Julie Sarno at: Julie.sarno@salterhealthcare.com or call: (781) 729-2200 for more information.
