Salter HealthCare Welcomes New Controller

Salter HealthCare is pleased to welcome Nicholas Pugliese of Burlington, MA to their team as the new Controller.

As Controller, Pugliese will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will be in charge of managing the accounting function at Salter HealthCare. He will be responsible for the general ledger, accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable and payroll process.

“I am very excited about my new opportunity at Salter HealthCare,” Pugliese said. “I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone on the staff and having the opportunity to contribute to the company’s success.”

Pugliese received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Fitchburg State University in Fitchburg, MA and received his M.B.A. from Salem State University in Salem, MA. He brings more than 11 years of experience to his new position at Salter, nine of which were spent as an accountant at Winchester Hospital. While there, his responsibilities included all accounting functions for the Winchester Hospital Foundation, Inc., daily cash reconciliations as well as the hospital’s operating bank reconciliation and the indirect supervision of training and mentoring new staff members. He also held the position of Fund Accountant in a Boston-based bank and trust company where he was responsible for managing budgets and financial transactions as well as analyzing budget reports.

“Nick brings a solid knowledge of health care accounting that he acquired through his years of working in the hospital side of our business,” said Robert Driscoll, Chief Operating Officer at Salter HealthCare. “His background and expertise will help Salter HealthCare continue to drive toward higher efficiencies.”
