Salter HealthCare is pleased to announce that Patricia Ann Shea, OTR/L, is the new Director of Rehabilitation Services at their Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Shea, of Winchester, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN and completed post-graduate neuro-developmental training at The Bobath Centre in London, UK. Shea has extensive experience as a registered occupational therapist in the U.S. as well as in Greece and Hong Kong. She has been a member of the therapy staff at Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center since 1996 and has served as the acting director of the occupational therapy department in the director’s absence.
“We are thrilled to have Pat step into the role of Director of Rehabilitation. Pat has been working in the rehab department at Winchester Nursing Center for a number of years. Pat’s years of experience and excellence in clinical care will serve her well in her new position,“ noted Winchester’s Executive Director Anne Pelrine, NHA, LSW.
Located at 223 Swanton Street, the Winchester facility is a 120-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center that provides high quality short-term and traditional nursing services in gracious, homelike surroundings. With highly skilled health care teams and top-of-the-line rehabilitative services, Salter HealthCare is able to treat patients with a wide range of needs. There are five distinct rehabilitative programs available at the Winchester facility, including complex medical, post-surgical IV therapy, pain management, wound management, and complex rehabilitation. Salter HealthCare has its own teams of physical, occupational and speech therapists who provide daily rehabilitation therapies. Other available services include cardiac rehabilitation, oncology care, nutrition counseling, physiatry services and skilled nursing care.
