Salter HealthCare is delighted to announce the completion of the second phase of renovations to the short-term unit at the Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Winchester is a 126-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing center located at 223 Swanton Street in Winchester, MA that provides high quality post-acute therapies and traditional nursing services in beautifully decorated, gracious surroundings.
Completion of phase 2 of the renovation project saw the debut of three newly renovated semi-private patient rooms, each furnished with two new electric beds, bedside tables, dressers and armoires. The rooms have newly installed flooring and artwork, and have been upgraded with electronic amenities such as complimentary telephones, flat screen televisions with cable service, iPod docking stations and WiFi capability.
“Our rooms were always designed for physical comfort, but with more people, including seniors, utilizing technology, we think it’s important to provide electronic amenities in patient rooms. We want our patients to feel at home and relaxed after working hard on their therapies with the rehabilitation team. Anything we can do to make their recovery experience a positive one and feel like home, we will,” noted Deb Donovan, RN, Director of Marketing.
“With rooms designed to emulate the home environment, patients can begin to practice and gain confidence in familiar conditions. Our aim has always been to provide surroundings with the most experienced and caring professionals, where our patients can recover faster and gain the self-confidence they need to return to their normal lives,” added Shelley Silverman, RNC, NHA, Executive Director of the Winchester Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center.
