Very few facilities in the Commonwealth achieve this designation, placing them on an elite list of those providing the highest level of care.

Every year, the Massachusetts Department of Health evaluates all nursing homes in the Commonwealth on more than 130 regulatory and quality standards, including administration, adequacy of staffing, quality of care, safety, resident rights, kitchen/food services, cleanliness and many more.
